The genesis of this enterprise traces back to its roots as a family business, with its helm steered by a dynamic duo: a father-son partnership. Embedded with the company are the core values of integrity, honesty, respect, trust, teamwork, ethics, and commitment.
Hayden’s Journey
Hayden’s journey commenced on a small property in Biloela Central Queensland, where he developed an interest in mechanical work from a young age. Graduating from tinkering with modest projects to orchestrating the transformation of a 60 series Land Cruiser onto an 80 series Land Cruiser chassis, Hayden’s apprenticeship journey solidified his prowess. He honed his craft as a diesel fitter, navigating the intricacies of mining equipment and mastering the nuances of automotive air conditioning. Over time, he adeptly acquired welding and fabrication skills, further enriching his skill set.
Rod’s Journey
Conversely. Rod embarked on his career as a Fitter, Turner, and Machinist within the precincts of a machine shop in Gladstone, Central Queensland. His formative years were punctuated by engagements in diverse shutdowns across refineries, cement plants, and power stations where he meticulously honed his skills. Subsequently his foray into both underground and above ground mining sites in Central Queensland. This experience ushered him to supervisory roles.
After spending time in the shutdown industry Rod’s career was marked by a pivotal juncture at the Callide power station, where he ascended the ranks from a mechanical fitter to mechanical supervisor. Here he spearheaded multifaceted maintenance endeavours encompassing mills, fans, ducts, coal plant, boilers, and turbines.
His trajectory culminated in a seminal tenure as a project supervisor, presiding over the groundbreaking implementation of clean coal technology at the old Callide A power station, a feat spanning seven years.
Years that followed seen Rod manage the forced outages and minor/major overhauls at Callide B/C power station.
Post his successful tenure at the Callide power station, Rod’s professional goals veered him towards diverse landscapes, including a stint as an emergency response team member at the Bluff coal mine project, driving rear dump haul trucks and a reinvigorated interest with project management at the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal. Presently, Rod orchestrates a symphony of responsibilities, straddling roles at Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal alongside a strategic involvement in the Yeppoon workshop.
